check out my belated posting on Remembrance Day (proudbcer.blogspot.com)
How on earth can you post this and also write what you did on July 21st? Your hypocrisy speaks volumes. I'm embarrassed, though not surprised, that you hail from my city of Vancouver.
Actually I now live in Toronto. But what is hypocritical about opposing the War in Afghanistan and wanting to remember those who died for our country. World War II and Afghanistan are two totally different conflicts. Besides I mourn the loss of all those who have died for our country, but I believe we owe it to them to try and solve things peacefully not through war.
I am glad that most Vancouverites don't share your conservative views and are more progressive. The United States is not the great liberator as you like to claim. They've done some good things especially in terms of technological advances, but on the foreign policy front, they have done far more harm than good.
Miles, you're a fascinating young man, a great example perhaps of what a "typical young Liberal" stands for.
Rather than respond to your same comments in 2 places, I've decided to continue the discussion here: http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=12345049&postID=116370723616969757
