Kennedy backs Dion
Yessssss!!! Go Dion Go!!
A political blogger from a centre-right perspective. I live in Toronto although grew up in Vancouver, currently work in the financial sector and I was an active supporter of the BC Liberals provincially, but now support the Ontario PCs. Federally I used to be a Progressive Conservative, but have since left the Conservatives due to their more right wing policies and now proudly support the Liberals.

Miles,
I don't think Dion will get the magic 66% of Kennedy's delegates to pass Rae on the third ballot.
Convention rumour now says otherwise. We shall see.
The Wizard - I think with Dion being more of the consensus candidate than Rae, he will achieve it. Even if he doesn`t get 66%, you are assuming none of Kennedy`s delegates will go to Ignatieff. Rae is only four points ahead of Dion so it really won`t be that tough to put him ahead of Rae. The only way this could be stopped is if some Ignatieff delegates go to Rae on the third ballot to knock off Dion and then go back to Ignatieff on the final ballot since many in the Ignatieff camp know they have a better chance at winning against Rae on the final ballot than Dion.
Miles,
You are hot today. My congratulations. You certainly have a better feel for it than I do. At this point, you are probably write -- Dion looks upstoppable.
I`ve always had good instincts when making predictions. But more importantly here Dion is the least polarizing of the candidates. Also Liberals all have one goal in mind which is to win the next election and many know deep down inside Stephane Dion is the one who has the best chance of doing it. It still isn`t over yet, but I would be very surprised if Ignatieff wins.
